This privacy policy explains how personal data is processed when you visit volslabs.com or contact us by email. Separately linked services, particularly Content Engine and social media platforms, have their own privacy notices.

2. Website delivery and hosting
The website is hosted on a virtual server provided by IONOS SE, Elgendorfer Straße 57, 56410 Montabaur, Germany. IONOS acts as a technical service provider and may receive data necessary for operating the website.
When you visit, your browser sends technical data to the server. This includes your IP address, date and time, the requested page or file, the HTTP request method, response status and amount of data transferred. It also includes the browser identifier, potentially containing browser and operating system details, and the previous page if your browser sends it as a referrer.
This data is processed to deliver the website, maintain its operation, analyse errors and prevent misuse. The legal basis is Article 6(1)(f) GDPR. Our legitimate interest is to provide a secure and reliable service.
The web server stores access and error logs. Logs are rotated daily; up to 14 archived log files are retained in addition to the current file. With daily rotation, this normally amounts to up to 15 days. In the event of a specific security incident, necessary entries may be retained until it is resolved and, where applicable, to establish or defend legal claims.
Further information: IONOS privacy information.
3. Cookies, fonts and analytics
This informational website sets no cookies of its own and stores no visitor data in your browser’s local or session storage. It includes no client-side analytics tools, advertising pixels, embedded videos or social media plug-ins. Fonts, images and icons are loaded from our own web server.
For internal, aggregated reach measurement, the IP address and browser identifier from the server logs are temporarily linked to estimate distinct visits within a 14-day period. The purpose is to understand the use and reach of this website and to improve its content and operation. The legal basis is Article 6(1)(f) GDPR; our legitimate interest is the needs-based and economically viable development of the website. The results are estimates because shared or changing IP addresses and browser identifiers can affect the count. The linkage is used only while the report is generated and is not stored as an identifier. The restricted report contains no IP addresses, transfers no data to third parties and is overwritten with every update. Recognisable automated access and technically unconfirmed one-off requests are filtered using heuristics. The retention period of the underlying server logs remains unchanged.
Technically necessary transfers and normal browser caching of website files are used solely to display the requested pages. We do not identify visitors across websites or analyse their browsing behaviour.
4. Contact by email
When you send an email, your email address, your name if provided, the message and any attachments you choose to send are processed to handle your enquiry. Email services are provided through IONOS.
The legal basis is Article 6(1)(f) GDPR; our legitimate interest is responding to enquiries. If the enquiry concerns a contract or pre-contractual steps at your request, the legal basis is Article 6(1)(b) GDPR.
Data is deleted once the enquiry has been fully dealt with and further retention is no longer necessary. Where statutory retention obligations apply, the affected data is kept for the required period under Article 6(1)(c) GDPR. Necessary data may also be retained until relevant limitation periods expire to safeguard legal claims.
Contacting us is voluntary. Without a reachable sender address and the information needed to handle your enquiry, we may be unable to respond.
5. External links
The website links to Instagram, YouTube and separate project services. Loading our pages does not retrieve embedded content from these platforms. The respective service is opened only when you follow a link.
On the destination websites, their operators process data under their own privacy notices. This may involve processing outside the EU or European Economic Area. You do not need an account with these providers to visit our website.
6. Your data protection rights
Subject to the statutory conditions, you have rights of access to your personal data (Article 15 GDPR), rectification (Article 16), erasure (Article 17) and restriction of processing (Article 18). Where the conditions are met, you also have a right to data portability (Article 20).
If processing is based on your consent, you may withdraw it at any time with effect for the future. This does not affect the lawfulness of processing carried out before withdrawal.
Right to object
For reasons relating to your particular situation, you may object to processing based on Article 6(1)(f) GDPR (Article 21 GDPR). Processing will then cease unless overriding compelling legitimate grounds exist or it serves to establish, exercise or defend legal claims.
To exercise your rights, send a message to s.kislov@volslabs.com.
7. Right to lodge a complaint
You may lodge a complaint with a data protection supervisory authority, particularly in the member state of your habitual residence, place of work or the alleged infringement (Article 77 GDPR).
The Bavarian State Office for Data Protection Supervision (BayLDA) supervises private-sector bodies in Bavaria. Information and complaints: www.lda.bayern.de.
8. Security and automated decisions
The website uses HTTPS to encrypt transmission between your browser and the web server. This informational website does not carry out automated decision-making, including profiling, within the meaning of Article 22 GDPR.
